Context

I worked with ProtoPixel on contract from January 2017 to August 2020 as a Software Engineer – Real-Time Hardware. I built firmware for real-time smart lighting products and OpenGL / GPU-based generative content. I also worked as a tech and design evangelist.

Three case studies are public: Designing the Ultimate Club Experience, Bringing Dynamism to a Creative Space, and Primavera Sound's First Smart Stage — smart lighting for an autonomous festival stage.

What I did

  • Firmware for real-time smart lighting hardware products.
  • OpenGL / GPU-based generative content.
  • Delivered the main product software as a snap package for Ubuntu machines.
  • Tech and design evangelist for the product line.
